What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a client-centered profession dedicated to helping individuals of all ages engage in meaningful activities (or “occupations”) that enhance their quality of life. Whether it’s gaining independence after an injury, managing chronic conditions, improving emotional well-being or cognitive functioning, OT provide personalized solutions tailored to each person’s unique goals and circumstances. From adapting environments to fostering new skills, OT helps people of all ages to overcome challenges, build confidence, and participate fully in daily life, work, or leisure activities. At its core, OT is about enabling people to thrive in the roles and routines that matter most to them.
