Jo Hillier - Registered Clinical Counsellor (#21976)
BHSC Occupational Therapy, MA Counselling Psychology

Life can be messy, complicated, and overwhelming. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or weighed down by past experiences, know that you don’t have to face it alone.

I work with individuals, families, children, youth, and parents—each with unique stories, challenges, and strengths. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, or parenting challenges, I’m here to support you.

For Children and Youth: Play is a powerful way for children to express themselves, and I create a safe, non-judgmental space where children and youth can explore their feelings and experiences. Through play, we create a space where children can explore and understand their feelings, build confidence, navigate emotions, develop social skills, and find healthy ways to cope with stress—all in a supportive and creative way.

For Parents and Families: Parenting is rewarding but can also bring up past traumas, stress, and emotional challenges. I offer parent coaching and family therapy to help you strengthen family connections, improve communication, and create strategies that support your child’s well-being and your family’s overall health. Taking care of yourself is essential—it’s about filling your cup so you can be your best for yourself and your family.

For Adults: Life’s challenges can take many forms—whether it's dealing with past trauma, anxiety, depression, or major life changes. I provide a compassionate space where we can work together to uncover what’s holding you back and build resilience, clarity, and hope for the future.

My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a belief in your ability to heal and grow. No matter your age or situation, I’m here to support you in creating meaningful, lasting change—piece by piece.

Let’s take this journey together.

For the past nine years, I have focused on trauma recovery, helping clients navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My personal journey as a parent to a neurodiverse child has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within families shaped by neurodiversity. These perspectives enhance my ability to support not only individuals but also families who are navigating these experiences. At the same time, I am equally committed to working with clients from all walks of life, tailoring my approach to meet their distinct needs.
