What Should I expect?
For individuals who are new to counselling, making the first call to start the process can feel intimidating. It’s natural to feel uncertain about what to expect, and I hope this introduction makes that first step easier to take.

Scheduling your first appointment
When you call, I’ll personally take the time to understand your needs and help you arrange the best possible support. I’ll gather some basic contact details, ask for your consent to use them for scheduling through our calendar system, and work with you to find an appointment time that fits your schedule.
I’ll also provide information about session costs, address any questions about insurance coverage, explain our cancellation policy, and guide you through the next steps. Before we finish, I’ll make sure you have all the details you need about our office location, how to find us, and the most convenient parking options.

Your First Appointment
After booking your appointment, you’ll receive a welcome email with instructions to complete your online profile, providing any information you’re comfortable sharing. The email will also include a link to an intake form that I will review before your first session.
I recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early for your first appointment to allow time for parking and locating the office. Once inside, you’re welcome to relax in the waiting area before the session begins.
Subsequent appointments
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice to avoid any late cancellation fees. This policy helps us manage my schedule effectively and ensures I can offer the time to another client who may need it.
Please note that the office is wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific needs or require assistance, please contact us in advance so we can help accommodate you as best as possible.
Finally, if you have any other questions, feel free to reach out by phone or email. I'm here to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible for you.
